Disability Accessibility

"43% of disabled people in the arts consider their disabilities to be a barrier to their career development and progression." - A Room of My Own report, Royal Society of Literature

, I consult with organisations in the arts and publishing on creating disabled and low-income access to opportunities, events, platforms and workplaces. I discuss the barriers faced and the needs of people living with a range of disabilities, from mental health issues, to physical disabilities, to invisible illness and spectrum disorders.

I offer a variety of consultations, from a full, tailored package across digital and social media platforms, events, programmes, awards and staff training, to one-off training workshops, or single event consultations.

My lived experience of having disabilities, and a wealth of experience from nearly a decade in publishing, provide me with the tools to deliver strategies to organisations looking to review and improve accessibility. I live with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (a genetic disorder of the connective tissues) Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain illness) and Generalised Anxiety Disorder. I'm also neurodivergent. These are termed as 'invisible' illnesses.
